On a beautiful Sunday, our EUFOR military and civilian personnel took part in the Sarajevo Marathon, demonstrating that determination and teamwork carry you all the way. A special shout-out to EUFOR’s Aviation Detachment team for running side by side throughout the entire race!
In the presence of H.E. Luigi Soreca, Head of the EU Delegation & EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with ambassadors from EU countries in BiH, an international medal parade was held at Camp Butmir, where 450 personnel from 13 nations received the European Union Common Security and Defence Policy Medal for Operation Althea in recognition of their service.
