The two leaders exchanged views on the security environment and the importance of close coordination, information sharing, and situational awareness.

Following the meeting, they signed a Letter of Intent establishing a framework for practical cooperation between EUFOR and Frontex, enabling closer coordination and enhanced information sharing.

Major General Fronda described the agreement as an important step in strengthening cooperation between the two organisations. Mr. Leijtens also stressed the value of partnership in addressing shared security challenges through combined civilian and military expertise.

The Letter of Intent reflects a shared commitment to deepen cooperation and support coordinated responses to common challenges. EUFOR remains committed to working with national authorities, European institutions, and international partners to support security and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
