Major General Tomo Kolenda, Deputy Chief of Defence Operations of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brigadier General Herbert Sailer, Chief of Staff of EUFOR Operation Althea signed the Cooperation Plan 2025, thus marking another important milestone in the cooperation between the two organizations.

According to BG Sailer, the signing of the Cooperation Plan 2025 shows the excellent cooperation between EUFOR and AFBiH. BG Sailer recalled that the Cooperation Plan 2024 was executed to the utmost extend and provided the parties with great training opportunities.

He also highlighted that EUFOR and AFBiH are mutually supportive towards each other in multiple fields, including not only strictly military topics but sports competitions as well.

BG Sailer thanked MG Kolenda that AFBiH supported EUFOR’s initiative to broaden the cooperation and include other forces’ participation in the Cooperation Plan 2025, thus intensifying the cooperation. BG Sailer emphasized that EUFOR remains committed to support the local authorities in maintaining a safe and secure environment. The cooperation sets also the basis for EUFOR‘s support, like EUFOR’s contribution to the disaster relief operations in October in the area of Konjic and Jablanica.
