EU Operation Commander (OpCdr) Lieutenant General Hubert Cottereau paid a visit to Camp Butmir during EUFOR’s annual exercise Quick Response 2024. Lieutenant General Cottereau and Commander of EUFOR Major General László Sticz discussed a range of topics including the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Operation Althea’s continuing support to its partners in BiH to assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
COM EUFOR Major General Sticz briefed OpCdr Lieutenant General Cottereau on EUFOR’s exercise Quick Response that is taking place between 24 August and 16 September 2024 across BiH. COM EUFOR outlined the structure and format of the exercise.
During his visit to BiH, Lieutenant General Cottereau also met with High Representative Christian Schmidt and EUSR Johann Sattler.
