During 09 September to 11 September, citizens may notice an increase in EUFOR activity during the day within the urban areas of Čapljina, Livno, Orašje, Pazarić, Sarajevo, Tuzla and Zavidovići. There will also be increased activity at night in Sarajevo Airport. The increased activities are part of EUFOR’s annual exercise Quick Response that takes place from 24th August to 16th September throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate EUFOR’s readiness and confirm its continued support to the maintenance of a safe and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During this large-scale training event, EUFOR is supported by the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the conduct of this exercise by providing EUFOR with locations to carry out this training.
EUFOR is taking all measures to minimize the impact of the exercise on members of the public. Local authorities and local population will be advised in time of any EUFOR movement in their vicinity, both through our Liaison Observation Teams and by press releases.
EUFOR is a strong, capable and reliable partner to the Bosnia and Herzegovina and remains committed in supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
