On 21 December 2022 EUFOR’s German Senior National Representative Lieutenant Colonel Stefan Hofmeister made a speech on the occasion of the opening of the new German LOT( Liaison and Observation Team) House in Čapljina. He said that after an absence of 10 years the German Bundestag (German Parliament) decided to rejoin the EUFOR Operation Althea mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On 21 May 2022, the Liaison Observation Team (LOT) in Trebinje conducted two Mine Risk Educations (MRE) at the Primary school Vuk Karadzic. The aim was to inform about the danger of mines and UXO (unexploded ordnance) threat in BiH. The pupils of the 04th and 06th grade followed the course very actively and with interest.

EUFOR Liaison Observation Team (LOT) in Visegrad, whose members are from the Slovakian Army, shares a recent example of EUFOR co-operation with local communities.

Today EUFOR marked the handover of one of the two Liaison Observation Teams (LOT) Banja Luka from Chilean to Slovenian EUFOR personnel. Present for the closed ceremony was COMEUFOR, Major General Alexander Platzer, and Slovenian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Zorica Bukinac. The event marked the conclusion of over 18 years of Chilean service in LOT Houses.
