EUFOR’s Commander, Major General Dieter Heidecker, yesterday visited the President of the Republica Srpska, Milorad Dodik in Banja Luka.
General Heidecker thanked the President for his cooperation during the last two years. COM EUFOR highlighted his appreciation of their good working relationship and reaffirmed the commitment of EUFOR as part of the overall European Union strategy in support to BiH.

A medal parade was held today at EUFOR Headquarters in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo.
Commander EUFOR, Major General Dieter Heidecker, presented the European Union Common Security and Defence Policy Medal Althea to over 150 soldiers from 7 different nations and thanked them for their dedicated service in and for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Commander EUFOR gave a lecture today on “The Common Security and Defense Policy of the European Union and EUFOR’s Role in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
At the beginning of his lecture, the Commander thanked the President of Sarajevo University, Professor Muharem AVDISPAHIC, and the Academic Senate for giving him the opportunity of an exchange with the students of this university.

EUFOR’s Operation Commander, General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, and the Ambassadors of the EU Political and Security Committee (PSC) today visited ‘Krupa’ Sarajevo-Hadžići ammunition storage site.
The PSC delegation and General Bradshaw were accompanied by Commander EUFOR, Major General Dieter Heidecker. The delegation was welcomed at the site by the Minister of Defence of BiH, Mr Zekerijah Osmić.

On 16th November 2014, the Hungarian Minister of Defence, Dr. Csaba Hende, visited Camp Butmir, Sarajevo, to meet EUFOR’s Hungarian contingent who are serving in Operation Althea.
During his visit, Dr. Hende took the opportunity to award the Commander of EUFOR, Major General Dieter Heidecker, with the ‘Honours for the Alliance’ service medal.

EUFOR’s Operation Commander, General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, today visited EUFOR Headquarters with the Ambassadors of the EU Political and Security Committee (PSC).
The PSC Ambassadors are in BiH this week to visit EU institutions in Sarajevo. General Bradshaw is also carrying out a 3 day visit to attend a number of the PSC meetings and to undertake additional working visits in his role as EUFOR’s Operation Commander.

10th – 14th November 2014; One Turkish Platoon from the Multinational Battalion has conducted peacekeeping training with the Armed Forces of BiH. The week-long training took place in Tuzla canton, with a goal to teach the Bosnian troops how to execute peace supporting tasks in line with international standards.
