An international medal parade was held in Camp Butmir where members of EUFOR from Greece, North Macedonia, Poland and Türkiye, received the European Union’s Common Security and Defence Policy Medal for Operation Althea in recognition of their service in the European Union Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The medal is inscribed with the Latin phrase “Pro Pace Unum”, which translates to “United for peace” and symbolizes one of the core values and greatest strengths of EUFOR in supporting of the authorities and the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
