EUFOR personnel joined approximately 50 young people at a multiethnic Scouts Summer Camp at Boračko Jezero, where participants came together to learn practical life skills in a fun and inclusive environment.

As part of the camp programme, personnel from EUFOR’s Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) Mostar delivered mine awareness training, providing participants with important information on recognising potential hazards and responding safely to the risks posed by mines and unexploded ordnance.

The interactive training provided young people with practical knowledge that can help protect both themselves and their communities. Through direct engagement, EUFOR personnel also encouraged questions and discussion, helping to reinforce key safety messages in an accessible and engaging manner.

The summer camp highlighted the value of bringing young people from different communities together to learn, cooperate, and build new friendships.

By supporting educational initiatives such as these, EUFOR continues to work alongside local communities and promote greater awareness of issues affecting the safety and wellbeing of citizens throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
