Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, attended a ceremony at Pazarić Barracks celebrating an important milestone in the development of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF BiH).
The ceremony marked the successful completion of Basic Officer Training by five newly qualified officers, while also welcoming 264 new recruits as they commenced their Basic Military Training. The event highlighted the continued commitment of the AF BiH to developing a capable, professional and resilient force dedicated to serving the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The presence of COM EUFOR underlined the strong partnership between EUFOR and the AF BiH, reflecting their shared commitment to professionalism, military development and cooperation. Through regular training, engagement and collaboration, EUFOR continues to support the development of the AF BiH in accordance with its mandate to contribute to a safe and secure environment throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking during the visit, Major General Fronda congratulated the newly qualified officers on their achievement and wished the new recruits every success as they embarked on their military careers, recognising the important role they will play in the future of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
