EUFOR cordially invites you to the Change of Command (CoC) ceremony for the Commander of EUFOR (COMEUFOR). The details of the event are as follows:
Date: Wednesday 31st January 2024;
Time: 09.30 – 12.15;
Venue: Camp Butmir, Sarajevo.

The day will start with a ceremony where the incoming COMEUFOR, Major General László Sticz, will formally mark the CoC with outgoing COMEUFOR, Major General Helmut Habermayer. Operational Commander for Operation Althea in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lieutenant General Hubert Cottereau and a number of prominent diplomats, will also be speaking or present at the ceremony. A parade of marching soldiers and military equipment will take place after the ceremony.

Name, phone number and ID number of media representatives, along with the name of the represented media have to be included in the confirmation of attendance.

All attending media representatives are kindly requested to arrive at the main gate to Camp Butmir’s civilian carpark no later than 09.30 on Wednesday 31st January. Late or unannounced media representatives, along with those whose registered information is incomplete, will be refused entry to the camp. Please be advised that there are new security procedures in place for entry into Camp Butmir, which will involve the physical search of equipment and use sniffer dogs.

All media, wishing to record audio should arrive with the appropriate audio/aux cables for attaching to splitters. Please also be advised that the media location for the filming of the parade is located outdoors, appropriate clothing should be worn.
