A significant moment took place recently at Camp Butmir as the Turkish companies conducted their Transfer of Authority ceremony, ensuring the continued strength and stability of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion.

The event marked both the successful completion of the mission by the outgoing Turkish company and the beginning of a new chapter for the incoming company, which is fully prepared to take on its responsibilities in a demanding multinational environment. Throughout their deployment, the outgoing troops demonstrated exceptional professionalism, discipline, and adaptability, making a valuable contribution to EUFOR Althea’s mission.

Held in a formal and respectful setting, the ceremony highlighted the strong camaraderie, mutual respect, and close cooperation shared among all participating contingents. This transition represents more than a handover of duties; it reflects the continuity of values, operational standards, and unity of effort that define the Multinational Battalion.

The incoming Turkish company is now fully integrated and ready to operate alongside its international partners, further strengthening cooperation and maintaining the high level of operational readiness that EUFOR is known for. Through this seamless transition, the Multinational Battalion reaffirms its commitment to effective multinational cooperation built on trust, interoperability, and mutual respect.
