The recent LIVEX exercise marked another important step in improving EUFOR’s readiness and cooperation with local institutions responsible for emergency situations. Building on lessons learned from the previous exercise, this live sequence focused on sharpening decision making, improving the flow of information through dedicated communication channels, and testing the readiness of MEDEVAC helicopters alongside coordination between EUFOR medical teams and the Clinical Center University Sarajevo.

Following the exercise, EUFOR hosted a meeting with the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina delegation led by Samir Agić, Assistant Minister for Protection and Rescue. Together, we reflected on the main achievements of our cooperation and discussed the next steps for the near future.

Throughout the exercise, participants showed faster reactions, stronger teamwork, and clearer communication than before. Requests were submitted in the correct format, supplementary updates were shared to ensure full awareness, and the EUFOR Aviation Detachment demonstrated excellent readiness, prepared for take off in line with procedures. Medical teams worked closely with the Clinical Center University Sarajevo, ensuring effective coordination throughout.

Although the air mission itself was not executed, the exercise proved to be a valuable opportunity to practice, refine skills, and strengthen cooperation under the Technical Agreement between the two organisations and internal procedures. It was a strong performance from all involved, and a reminder that continuous training is essential to maintain the highest level of readiness.

Thank you to everyone for the excellent cooperation. Together we are stronger!
