Today, Camp Butmir hosted a moving international medal parade, honouring more than 100 personnel from Italy, Romania, and Türkiye for their outstanding service. The event was attended by DCOM EUFOR Brigadier General Uberto Incisa di Camerana and H.E. Sarah Eti Castellani, Ambassador of Italy to BiH, who joined in celebrating this proud moment.
Each recipient was awarded the European Union Common Security and Defence Policy Medal for Operation Althea, in recognition of their dedicated service under UNSCR 2795, adopted on 31 October 2025.
The medal, adorned with a blue EU ribbon and twelve five pointed stars, bears the Latin inscription “Pro Pace Unum” — “United for Peace” — a powerful symbol of our shared mission.
