Today at Camp Butmir, COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu welcomed Mr. Gijs Tuinman, State Secretary for Defense of the Netherlands.
Their official discussions focused on the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Major General Barbu emphasized EUFOR’s vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens, and expressed appreciation for the Netherlands’s strong and ongoing contribution to the mission.
Notably, the Netherlands recently joined the EUFOR Multinational Battalion, further reinforcing its commitment to peace and stability in the region. Together, we continue to build trust, cooperation, and resilience across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
