EUFOR Operation Althea conducted the Opening Ceremony for exercise Quick Response. Our annual training event runs from 24 August - 16 September 2024. This year’s large-scale training event, Quick Response 24, involves in-theatre troops from all 23 nations of EUFOR who will be temporarily augmented by Austrian, Hungarian and Romanian reserve forces.
A unique element of EUFOR Quick Response 24 is the use of field Temporary Staging Areas as platforms for operations in different sectors of the area of operations. Moreover, for the first time, the EUFOR Tactical Reserve will be activated for the exercise.
The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina support EUFOR in the conduct of this exercise by providing EUFOR with locations to carry out this training. During the exercise, the united force will demonstrate and assess its readiness and confirm its ability to support our partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina in providing a safe and secure environment throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
