EUFOR provided logistical support with its trucks delivering the more than 400,000 protective masks and 18,000 gowns to help replenish supplies of equipment depleted during the fight against the pandemic.
Commander EUFOR said:
“Today is another visible example of the support the European Union and EUFOR are providing to the authorities and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are proud that we can support logistically the efforts of the European Union and distribute the aid in time to the right place. Let me also use the opportunity to thank all the medical staff in this country for their professionalism, their dedication and the excellent work they are doing under sometimes dire circumstances. Be assured that we are privileged to maintain our support, together with the EU Delegation to BiH, to the people and the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
“Today's equipment is part of an aid package for medical institutions throughout Republika Srpska, with a total value of over 1.4 million euro” said Ambassador Johann Sattler.
