A new chapter begins for the EUFOR Aviation Detachment. This morning, the Romanian crew completed their final mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and officially handed over tactical air transport and air medical evacuation duties to the incoming Italian team during a heartfelt ceremony.
COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu thanked the Romanian team and AvDet Commander Colonel Silviu Marincaș for their outstanding service. Their professionalism and commitment not only ensured mission success but also strengthened trust within local communities.
Major General Barbu also welcomed the Italian team, wishing AvDet Commander Lieutenant Colonel Paolo Costaperaria a safe and successful mission ahead, reminding everyone that while challenges may arise, so do opportunities to make a real difference.
