Today, Hungarian Reserve Troops, alongside NATO-led international peacekeeping personnel from KFOR, entered Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Svilaj and Klobuk border crossing points.
Their mission is to integrate with EUFOR’s in-theatre forces, currently composed of 25 contributing nations, and participate in Quick Response 2025, EUFOR’s annual large-scale training exercise.
As part of this multinational effort, members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and BiH Law Enforcement Agencies will also take part.
The overarching goal of Quick Response 2025 is to enhance the operational readiness of all participating forces and reaffirm EUFOR’s ongoing support to its BiH partners in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the country.
Since 2012, EUFOR has conducted the Quick Response exercise annually, except in 2014, when it was cancelled due to severe flooding. That year, all deployed troops joined the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in supporting national authorities during the crisis, in a joint humanitarian effort named Operation Joint Effort 2014.
