We’ve shared in Chile’s traditions, seen the beautiful depictions of the amazing Andean landscapes and the ancient monuments.
The week also marked the Chilean National Day of Independence, the 18 September, the day that Chile began fighting for independence from Spain. For Chile, the fight for independence wasn’t just a moment in time — it was a test of endurance, perseverance, and willpower. For eight long years, patriots fought for their freedom, refusing to accept anything less than victory.
The Independence Day is immediately followed by another public holiday, the Day of the Glories of the Army, honoring the members of the military who fought for their country. The military parade held on 19 September in Santiago demonstrating the whole spectrum of Chilean Armed Forces is universally well-known.
Congratulations to our Chilean comrades on the occasion of their national week!
