On 26th of February 2026, The Commander of EUFOR Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with Admiral George M. Wikoff, Commander of Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naples in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo.
The meeting highlighted the importance of strategic coordination, interoperability, and continued cooperation between EUFOR and NATO structures in supporting the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to build national capacity and ensure domestic security.
They discussed ongoing EUFOR activities, with a particular focus on joint training and cooperation with AF BiH, as well as future plans highlighting the importance of peace and stability in Western Balkans.
Both commanders reaffirmed their shared commitment to preserving a safe and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR's strong commitment to remain visible, credible and impartial partner within Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with international partners.
