Today at Camp Butmir, in the presence of the EU Operation Commander for ALTHEA, Lieutenant General Ludovic Pinon de Quincy, Major General Florin Marian Barbu of the Romanian Armed Forces and Major General Maurizio Fronda of the Italian Armed Forces signed the official Hand Over–Take Over document.
Tomorrow morning, during an official ceremony, Major General Barbu will formally hand over command of the EU Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina to Major General Fronda.
Following the handover, a military parade featuring EUFOR personnel and equipment will take place. For the first time, a platoon from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina will join the parade and march alongside EUFOR personnel.
