Today, 19 November 2025, COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu had the honor of welcoming General Metin Tokel, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, and H.E. Emin Aksekí, Ambassador of Türkiye to Bosnia and Herzegovina, at Camp Butmir.
Their discussions focused on the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. COM EUFOR reaffirmed EUFOR’s vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens, underlining the importance of continued cooperation with both local and international partners. He also highlighted the valuable contribution of Turkish personnel serving within the Force.
General Metin Tokel also met with the Turkish contingent deployed at Camp Butmir, further strengthening ties and personally acknowledging their service.
