Exercise Quick Response 24 is a large-scale training event involving in-theatre troops from all 23 nations of EUFOR who are temporarily augmented by Austrian, Hungarian and Romanian reserve forces. The purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate EUFOR’s readiness and confirm its continued support to its BiH partners in the maintenance of a safe and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Between 24 August and 16 September 2024, troops from EUFOR Multinational Battalion and the Austrian, Hungarian and Romanian reserve force elements have been working closely together in BiH and are supported by the Armed Forces of BiH.
Exercise Quick Response 24 also allows EUFOR Headquarters to exercise command and control in a large scale multinational training event. The troops have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience of patrolling, escorting, convoys, medical evacuation and extraction. There is an opportunity to refine their specialist skills of more niche areas such as explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), Crowd Riot Control and helicopter manouvers.
Media representatives are asked to arrive no later than 09:45 on the day. There will be opportunities to witness a Live Demonstration of actions exercised in the last number of days and also the official closing ceremony. The event will finish at approx. 1400.
