THE Commander of EUFOR, Major General (MG) Dieter HEIDECKER, attended ceremonies marking RS National Day on 09 January 2013, at the invitation of RS President Milorad DODIK.
Also in attendance were several BiH officials, including the Chair of BiH Presidency Nebojsa Radmanovic, and numerous delegates from diplomatic corps and wider international community.
COM EUFOR appreciated the invitation to the ceremonies and also the opportunity to meet with the wide range of assembled representatives from both BiH and international organisations. This allowed a useful opportunity for an informal exchange of ideas on the activities of EUFOR and Operation ALTHEA with a wide range of stakeholders and which may lead to the basis of more formal talks and discussions in the future.
