On his first international visit as COM EUFOR, Major General László Sticz visited Camp Film City in Pristina, Kosovo, where he met COM KFOR Major General Özkan Ulutaş.

As of 22 January 2024, based on the decision of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union, supported by the EU Military Committee, Major General Helmut Habermayer (Austrian Armed Forces) handed over the position of EU Force Commander for the European Union military operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Operation Althea) to Major General László Sticz (Hungarian Defence Forces).
