On 25 February 2020, the change of command of EUFOR’s Multinational Battalion (MNBN) was marked with a military ceremony and parade at Camp Butmir, Sarajevo. COMEUFOR, Major General Reinhard Trischak, handed the colours of the MNBN from Lieutenant Colonel Manfred Leitner to Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Steingresz to signify the Change of Command.
A patrol of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion (MNBN) had an eventful day on 30 January 2020, as they provided roadside assistance to not one, but two cars that left the road in the vicinity of Tuzla.
A EUFOR patrol stopped to help a man and his son who were involved in a car accident on Monday 23 September. Eight soldiers from EUFOR’s Multinational Battalion Turkish Company were returning to Sarajevo from a patrol when they saw a car which had crashed off the road and fallen down an embankment.
One of the many tasks of the EUFOR’s Multinational Battalion (MNBN) is to work in close coordination with the various Liaison Observation Team (LOT) houses situated across Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was for this purpose that the Commander of the MNBN (COMMNBN), Lieutenant Colonel Manfred Leitner, visited the Slovakian LOT house in Višegrad on 22 January 2020.
On Monday 16 September, COM EUFOR, Major General Reinhard Trischak, presented the incoming Multinational Battalion (MNBN) troops with their EUFOR badges during a ceremony to mark them achieving full operational capability.
On the week of the 21-25 October EUFOR’s Multinational Battalion travelled to Zenica to train alongside their partners in the AFBiH 5th Infantry Brigade, 1st Battalion.
On the week of the 2-6 Sep EUFOR’s Multinational Battalion trained alongside their partners in the AFBiH 4th Infantry Brigade, 3rd Battalion.
