EUFOR’s troops in the Liaison and Observation Team house (LOT house) in Foca in conjunction with other Slovakian soldiers in BiH made a donation of 500KM to go towards medical treatment for a Foca man who was seriously injured earlier this year. Nemanja Starović ,who is 26 years old, was injured in Montenegro when jumping into the sea.

Slovakian members of EUFOR’s Liaison and Observation Team house in Foca helped hand over humanitarian aid to Red Cross representatives in Foca and Cajnice. Two lorry loads of supplies which consisted mostly of clothing, personal hygiene kits, shoes, toys and cleaning articles were delivered from the Slovakian government organization SlovakAid.

Lieutenant Armend Haxhosaj of EUFOR’s Mostar LOT House, was observing the protest of the Aluminij workers, who had gathered in front of the HDZ building in Mostar on Thursday 11 July, when he was able to use his first aid skills to help an injured female.

The members of EUFOR’s LOT house in Visegrad took part in the food festival “Drinski kotlič 2019” at the Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge on Saturday the 14 September. The event, which ran with cooperation from the Municipal Tourist Organisation, attracted 15 teams from the Visegrad area.

Six members of EUFOR’s LOT house in Banja Luka competed in Gradiska’s first 10Km night run which was held along the banks of the Sava River and through the city center on Friday 5 July. Over 300 people had signed up to run in the event from a wide range of countries but EUFOR’s team from Chile had travelled from furthest afield to complete!

EUFOR’s LOT House in Foča ran a stand at Foča’s 12th annual Gastro Fest in July. Many exhibitors from Foča and the surrounding area attended to display food, drink and handmade craft products; the event was well attended with many local dignitaries present.

On Friday 31 May Juraj Majer, a member of the EUFOR LOT house in Foča, came first in the men’s senior category of the traditional night time street race held in the centre of Foča.
