Today at Camp Butmir, in the presence of COM EUFOR Major General Florin Marian Barbu, DCOM EUFOR Brigadier General Uberto Incisa di Camerana, COS EUFOR Brigadier General Tibor Szabó, and EUFOR staff, an international medal parade was held to recognize over 500 personnel from 12 nations.

Each recipient was awarded the European Union Common Security and Defence Policy Medal for Operation Althea, recognizing their dedicated service under the mandate of UNSCR 2757, adopted on 1 November 2024.

The medal, suspended from an EU blue ribbon with a central gold or silver stripe, features twelve five-pointed stars symbolizing the European Union. On its reverse, the Latin inscription “Pro Pace Unum”—“United for Peace”—reflects the spirit of our mission.

Congratulations to all medal recipients!
