COS EUFOR visits Turkish LOT House

On the 18^th February 2011, COS HQ EUFOR, Brigadier General Günter Giesa visited the Turkish Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) house in Široki Brijeg. It is a small town with about 7,000 mostly B-Croatian inhabitants.

The Deputy LOT house Chief welcomed COS EUFOR and the visiting party and then introduced his crew. This was followed by a briefing on the current situation in the area of activities. The program ended with a short visit to the local monastery of the Order of St. Francis, which was founded in 1846. A Franciscan friar gave COS EUFOR a small tour of the Church and the museum. Deeply impressed by this visit Brigadier General Giesa not only thanked the Franciscan friar and the LOT house crew as well for their excellent preparation of the visit.
