On Friday 1 February 2019, EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a second Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for clinical care, this time with Mostar Cantonal Hospital and Mostar University Clinical Hospital.

COMEUFOR, Major General Martin Dorfer, the Director of Mostar Cantonal Hospital, Dr Zlato Guzin, and Deputy Director of Mostar University Clinical Hospital, Mrs Radica Božić, signed the MoU to formally endorse the agreement.

After signing the MoU, COMEUFOR said:

"Signing this agreement provides EUFOR with the best level of clinical support in the case of severe emergencies".

The purpose of the MoU is to establish a formal agreement between EUFOR and both Mostar Hospitals, in order to ensure the provision of specialised medical care.

Describing the services that Mostar Medical Hospital will offer to EUFOR, Dr Guzin said::

"I am honoured to sign this agreement, and I am looking forward to the future co-operation with EUFOR".

Mrs Božić said:

"The University Clinical Hospital is at the disposal of EUFOR whenever it is needed".

The MoU has been established to ensure the provision of specialised medical cover, particularly in the field of cardio thoracic surgery, if it is needed.
