On 13 July the new Italian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Marco DI RUZZA, visited EUFOR personnel in Camp Butmir. Upon his arrival the ambassador was greeted by the senior Italian officer of Operation Althea before speaking with a representative body of the Italian contingent to the mission.

Following this H.E. Di Ruzza met with COMEUFOR, Major General Alexander Platzer. Italy is a troop contributing nation that has personnel deployed to a number of roles within Operation Althea and earlier this year increased their overall troop contribution numbers.
