Change of Command of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion

On Friday 11th of August a ceremony, presided over by Commander EUFOR, Major General Anton Waldner, marked the Change of Command of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion (MNBN). The Multinational Battalion is a group of soldiers comprising of 3 different nations Austria, Hungary and Turkey who combine to serve together within EUFOR.

EUFOR Holds Ceremony for MNBN Change of Command

On Tuesday 21 February 2017 a ceremony was held to mark the Change of Command of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion (MNBN) in the Helicopter Hanger at EUFOR HQ, Camp Butmir. COMEUFOR, Major General Friedrich Schrötter, led the event where Command of the MNBN was handed over from Lieutenant Colonel Christoph Blasch to Lieutenant Colonel Harald Zagler.

EUFOR Medal Parade at Camp Butmir

87 service personnel from 7 different nations were presented the European Union Common Security and Defence Policy Medal Althea in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo on 25 October. Brigadier General Albert Sáfár, Chief of Staff EUFOR, thanked them for their dedicated service and stated, “EUFOR’s presence in this country is still of great importance.

New Commander of EUFOR Multinational Battalion

Austrian Mountain Infantry Specialist Lieutenant Colonel Christoph Blasch is the new commander of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion (MNBN). He took command of the battalion in a ceremony at Camp Butmir on Tuesday 9th August.
