Making a difference – EUFOR LOT BRCKO donates ‘Zimmer’ frames

On 16 July 2013 members of the EUFOR LOT house in BRCKO organized the donation of 5 Zimmer frames to the local Red Cross office to help people with temporary and permanent mobility issues.
In a small ceremony, and in the presence of local media, in front of the Red Cross office in the BRCKO District, members of the EUFOR LOT House handed over 5 walking frames or “Zimmer” frames to the Red Cross Office Manager Denis ŠEHANOVIĆ.

COM EUFOR visits LOT Trebinje

On 26th of June 2013, the Commander of EUFOR, Major General (MG) Dieter HEIDECKER, accompanied by the MA to the OP CDR, Lt Colonel Nikolas Meunier from Mons, visited the Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) in Trebinje. The LOT is composed of members of the Swiss Contingent of EUFOR and their great hospitality was felt throughout the day.

Consistent cooperation and engagement by all social levels within a population are essential for a sustainable positive impact from the LOT concept in Bosnia & Herzegovina (BIH).

On 24 January 2013 the Commander of EUFOR, Major General (MG) Dieter HEIDECKER, accompanied by Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Colonel Fatih ILHAN, was visiting the Liaison and Observation Teams (LOT) in  Travnik and Zenica. Both teams are composed of members of the Turkish Contingent of EUFOR and their great hospitality was felt throughout the day.

COM EUFOR Paid Visits to LOTs Novo Sarajevo, Jablanica and Mostar

COM EUFOR, Major General Dieter Heidecker, as part of his inaugural tour, has recently paid visits to the first 3 out of a total number of 17 EUFOR Liaison and Observation Teams (LOT), namely to Novo Sarajevo, Jablanica and Mostar. The teams in the LOT houses briefed the General on the present situation in the area and the ongoing LOT activities, but were also given the opportunity to exchange ideas with their Commander.
